ABOUT #

Growing up with technology has allowed me learn and experience things I never thought possible. Being interested in technology, space, and games motivated me to understand how things worked. I wanted to learn it all. I started out my career in the sciences, which meant I did not have much spare time. Later in life, I found time to enjoy a video game session from time to time. Video games have taught me so much. They are an essential part of who I am, and always will be.

Why “CallMeStarbuck” and the “Cylon Toasters” ? #

I was introduced to a show “Battlestar Galactica” and I connected with the pilot Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. I didn’t really know of another alias to use on the Internet, so it kind of stuck. The Cylon Toasters are more of a silly rendition of the Cylons in the show. I wanted a neat name for my community, and it worked out great for the alias I chose to go by.

What got you into streaming? #

The idea that I could create something of my own really inspired me to learn the basics of streaming. I thought of it as my own space where I could create and share my passion with others.

What are your favorite things to play? #

I grew up playing a variety of games. I really enjoyed the Halo series, StarCraft, Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, Tony Hawk, even showed the parental units how to play DOOM (after installing it from multiple floppies iykyk). I enjoy a variety of genres, but I enjoy sharing the experience as much as possible with others. Games are more fun with friends!

Our community was really built around Destiny and focusing on PvE and endgame activities.

PURRITO #

This is Purrito. I was lucky enough to be chosen as her human.

Why “Purrito” ? #

After volunteering at the animal shelter, a friend introduced me to this kitten that was wrapped in a sock and purring up a storm. We took a liking to each other and I decided on the name “Purrito” like a purring burrito.
